2nd Annual STEP-UP in STEM Technology Workshop 2008

The STEP-UP in STEM Technology Workshop provides an opportunity for STEM Faculty and SEI Teacher Consultants to enhance their technological skills and instructional skills.  The workshops are designed and presented by STEM Faculty and Administration at Lawson State and its collaborators.

2007 HBCU-UP National Research Conference  

 

Mr. Mark Whigham, Computer Scientist/Computer Science Instructor attended the 2007 HBCU-UP National Research Conference.  In addition to attending workshops and seminars, Mr. Whigham served as a judge for the student poster competition.  Mr. Whigham is certified in MSCS, MCP, A+, Network+, IC3, i-Net+, MOS.

SEI Teacher Consultants

Our training and professional development has been a huge success, providing more than 10 workshop and conference opportunities to Lawson State’s STEM faculty. These opportunities includes STEP-UP in STEM Technology Workshop where STEM Faculty and SEI Teacher Consultants was given the opportunity to enhance their technological skills.  The workshops was designed and presented by STEM Faculty and Administration at Lawson State Community College.
Dean of Arts and Science and Director of Developmental Studies, Dr. Sherri Davis Provides Blackboard training for Summer Enrichment Instructors.  These consultants will use their training to  provide SEI students access to projects, activities, and data to enhance their STEM experience.

Mimo in Mathematics

Calvin Briggs, STEP-UP in STEM Program Director presents "Mimo in Mathematics" a workshop focusing on the use of technology in STEM content areas.  The goal is to provide teachers access to new and innovative tools to assist them with instruction and enhance their use of technology.
