SEI students traveled to the NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL. The center strives to help maintain a strong American education system, nurturing students' interest in the fields of mathematics and science from elementary school through their college years. In addition the center encourages young people to consider careers in engineering and the aerospace industry. The center forges strong ties with the nation's academic centers of excellence and the educators who anchor the field of learning. The main goal of the center is commensurate to that of STEP-UP: inspire and motivate students to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, and to engage the public in shaping and sharing the experience of exploration and discovery.
